I created this website to provide ongoing, updated slow-down solutions for individuals and families trying to escape the fast-paced frenzy and live “not so fast.”
Not So Fast: The Book
It’s easy to feel fragmented in this high-speed, fast-paced, goal-oriented society. Even while racing to second jobs, appointments, lessons, practices, games and clubs, we crave an antidote.
How do we counteract the effects of our over-committed culture?
Replenish our depleted selves?
Restore our rushed relationships?
The book Not So Fast: Slow-Down Solutions for Frenzied Families offers hope to families struggling with hurried hearts and frantic souls. Wouldn’t you like to have time to think again? To laugh?
Remember when you weren’t in such a rush that you could take time to look each other in the eyes, or enjoy a big, ol’ family hug?
What if you planted a garden or made dinner together?
Maybe you’d pick a book to read aloud to the kids?
What would you do if life wasn’t crammed to the brim and lived out at top speed?
A slower life offers many riches. Through stories, practical ideas, insight and research, readers will discover the rejuvenating power of an unrushed life.
Not So Fast: The Website
Here at the companion website, I want to provide even more solutions than the book contains, like reading lists of great books to share with their kids, and links that will inspire them to see the rich, full life that’s possible when we slow down.
So pour a cup of tea, then click around and visit the pages and links to explore how slowing down your family may improve your quality of life.
